MAN Truck and Bus is a high-profile company whose online presence was outdated. We conceptualized, designed and oversaw the development of their new content-driven corporate website.

Entering the process somewhere in the middle, I was part of a 3-person team. I helped conceptualize, design and prototype the base modules — making sure that they are modern, scalable and future-oriented. I later worked on hand-off to the developer. I standardised formats for the in-house content uploaders, for future articles and for ones adapted from print. Post‑launch, I designed many articles myself and pushed for bugsfixes and features that helped move the website towards a more modern and compelling form of storytelling.

I also worked a lot on mobile optimization. The website was conceptualized Desktop First, and there was much to do to it functional, aesthetic and in tune with MAN’s corporate identity for mobile users, too.

In addition, I conceptualized and designed two “experience” features on the website, still not fully realised.

The MAN Moments feature serves as a hub for articles detailing big moments in the MAN story. I designed, animated and prototyped the overview page presenting them. This feature has a nostalgic, human feeling to it, using archive material while giving it new life.

MAN Routes, also still under development, serves as a hub for fascinating and beautiful bus and truck routes that MAN vehicles drive through daily worldwide. The article module gives a lot of space to photos taken along the route, as they’re this feature’s star. The map module features customly designed filters and pins for Bus / Truck and On-road / Off-road.
